Posted on behalf of Sean Reid, Dean of the School of Business. It is with profound sadness that I inform the campus community of the sudden passing of a recent graduate, Zahra Exantus ’15. Zahra died unexpectedly at her home in Shanghai, China, on June 26. While at Ithaca College, Zahra interned with Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton, the District Attorney's office and the law firm of Tabor and Shaw. After graduating in 2015, Zahra was accepted to study law at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and worked as a legal intern in Shanghai. She is survived by her husband Nicolas Wan; her siblings Jordan, Camille and Etienne Exantus; her parents, Cathi and Joe Exantus ’86; her grandparents, David and Carol Dornbusch and a large extended family of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Please join me in keeping Zahra’s family and friends in your thoughts. A celebration of Zahra’s life will be held on Saturday, July 13, at 3 p.m. at the Lansing United Methodist Church, 32 Brickyard Rd., Lansing, N.Y., with a reception immediately following. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, July 12, from 4 to 6 pm. Private interment will be held at Green Hills Cemetery, in Dryden, N.Y. For more information, visit her obituary.
