The Re-Recognition process opens on August 1 and goes until the last day of programming, December 13, 2019. The grace period ends on September 27. Starting on September 28, you’ll need to be recognized to reserve rooms or request funding.

*This process is only for general student organizations recognized by the Office of Student Engagement*

Step 1: Complete Registration on IC Engage.

This is basically renewing your Engage organization profile. You’ll be prompted to update your roster and constitution (must be the standard template). I sent personalized e-mails to every student organization in the Spring letting you know what changes (if any) you needed to make to your constitution. Let me know if you didn’t receive this and I can forward it along! As a reminder, you need ten active members (including 4 officers – 1 presiding officer, 1 finance manager).

Step 2: Have a full time Ithaca College employee agree to be the advisor by completing an Advisor Agreement.

A few students last year submitted this on behalf of their advisor – please note, your advisor must be the person who submits this or it will be denied.

Step 3: Complete the Officer Training

(You are able to submit for more than one student organization. Please remember you must be listed as an officer on the organization Engage page to receive credit for this quiz). For help with managing your roster, click here.

4) Attend a Re-Recognition Workshop

  • The President, Treasurer and one Officer must attend one Re-Recognition Workshop.
  • You can all attend the same one if you want, but we encourage you to attend different ones!
  • You will fill out an evaluation at the end of each workshop which is how you will get credit

Workshop Dates can be found on this google document, as the location/presenters are continually being updated.

For any and all questions regarding re-recognition, please reach out to Mary Holland-Bavis (meholland@ithaca.edu).
