In the past Move-In Day has occurred on the weekend, allowing new students and their families to have easy access to parking. This year Move-In Day takes place during the day on August 20, 2019. Family Orientation programs will then take place during the day on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. 

On Tuesday August 20th the following lots will be reserved and only available for students and their families participating in Orientation/Move-in:

• M (A&E)
• O (North of Park School)
• S (East of O-Lot)
• J (Towers)
• A (Upper Quads)
• B (Lower Quads)
• D (Lower Quads)

On Wednesday, August 21st the following lots will be reserved and only available for students and their families participating in Orientation:

• M (A&E)
• O (North of Park School)
• S (East of O-Lot)
• A (Upper Quads)
• C (West of Garden Apts.)
• S (East of O-Lot)
• S ext. (North of Grant Egbert Blvd.)

**Access to all ADA accessible parking spaces will be maintained throughout this period of time.

Campus community members are encouraged to make alternate transportation arrangements such as carpooling, drop-offs, and use of public transportation.  This will allow our new students and their families to access parking near the buildings necessary for them to easily move-in and attend orientation.

Since Move-In Day provides an important opportunity for Ithaca College to create a positive first impression for our students and their families we will be providing the following special parking and transportation arrangements: 

• On Tuesday, August 20th and Wednesday, August 21st faculty and staff who normally park on the lower part of campus to park in Z-Lot (Emerson Hall) or Y-Lot (across 96B) or in other non-reserved lots on the upper part of campus.
• On Tuesday, August 20th and Wednesday, August 21st there will be shuttle service for faculty and staff running from Z-Lot (Emerson) and Y-Lot (across 96B) to E-Lot (Textor flag pole).  Shuttles will run 7:30 am-9:00 am and 3:00 pm-5:15 pm both days.
• On Tuesday August 20th, faculty and staff who are volunteering to help with the Move-in crew will be allowed to park in N-Lot (practice fields) and O-Lot (North of Park School).

Your understanding and adjustment of your normal parking plans to help make Orientation and Move-in Day a smooth and memorable experience is greatly appreciated.
