David Hajjar (Speech-Language Pathology) Publishes Research About Volunteers Who Support People With Complex Communication Needs in Recreational SettingsContributed by Maureen Forrest on 08/14/19 David Hajjar, Assistant Professor in the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Department recently published an article in the journal Augmentative and Alternative Communication. The article describes research conducted with volunteers from an adaptive paddling program who supported participants with disabilities to participate and document their experience using wearable cameras and assistive technology. Volunteers provided feedback during a series of focus groups and participants shared their media artifacts with family and friends in their social networks.
