As of 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Verizon Wireless cell phone users are still unable to call into the Ithaca College phone system. Verizon has confirmed that the problem is with their ability to route calls to the college, but has not provided us with an estimated time for resolution.

Calls to the college from all other sources (landline, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, etc.) appear to be unaffected.

Verizon cell phone users needing to reach the Office of Public Safety in an emergency should continue to use 607-272-0470 or 607-592-0102.

If you are unable to reach Public Safety in an emergency on campus, call 911, and the Tompkins County Emergency Dispatch will coordinate a response with the Office of Public Safety.

This problem with Verizon Wireless calls is different from the issue experienced Friday night with the campus phone system.

The college continues to be in contact with our providers to resolve this issue, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We will update you as circumstances warrant.
