The Laptop Kiosk holds 12 Windows laptops that students can check out for up to 4 hours at no cost. To ‘check out’ a laptop, students would simply swipe their valid Ithaca College ID at the kiosk, agree to the terms and conditions shown on the screen and a laptop will be released for use. When the laptop is returned to the kiosk the device is automatically wiped clean to ensure the security of individual student information. As a result of this secure cleansing process, students utilizing this service are encouraged to save their files to either web storage (OneDrive) or a USB drive. Although there is no cost for students to use this service, fees will be applied if the laptop is damaged or lost. Students needing assistance with the Laptop Kiosk, can stop by the Friends 110 Computer Lab to speak with the Lab Consultant.

Information Technology is pleased to announce the new Laptop Kiosk installation in Friends Hall, just outside of Room 110C. The kiosk provides Ithaca College students with 24-hour access to loaner laptops, which has several of the same applications available in the computer labs.
