The Pantry, the Ithaca College On-site Food Pantry, opens for Fall for students, faculty and staff on Friday, August 30 from 4-5:30pm. The Pantry is located in the DeMotte Room in Egbert Hall which can be accessed by taking the stairs to the left of the information desk down one level or from outside the building by using the stairs from the upper quads or the academic quad that lead to the back of Egbert Hall. The pantry has a wide variety of food staples including refrigerated and frozen items as well as personal care items and paper products. Fall Hours will be Tuesdays from 6-7pm and Fridays from 4-5:30pm. Shoppers who bring a reusable bag when they shop will be entered to win a monthly drawing of food and cooking related items. Shoppers are limited to one standard size reusable grocery bag each time they shop so that we have enough supplies for all shoppers. Volunteers are needed to staff the Pantry! It's a simple volunteer position - and will be one of the most rewarding things you spend time doing this semester. Faculty, staff and students are welcome as volunteers. We will provide all the training you need (which is minimal) . If you are interested, please go here to sign up. More information on IC's ongoing efforts to ensure food security can be found here. Help us fill the food pantry on campus! Look for “The Pantry” donation cans at all retail dining locations. Donations (Cash, Credit Card, ID Express) are currently being accepted and will help to stock IC’s food pantry this semester. Please donate today, your donation will help to nourish our campus community. Donation locations are: Food Court, Ithaca Bakery, Academic Cafes, Library Café, Towers Marketplace and Circles Market. Ongoing support for the food pantry is always needed and appreciated. If you are interested in making a gift to support Ithaca College in ensuring food security you can do so here. Under “Designation,” please indicate that you would like to “Give to area(s) of your choice,” and then specify “IC Fund to Address Food Insecurity.” Faculty and staff can also give via ongoing payroll deduction. Faculty and Staff should select "other" and then specify "IC Fund to Address Food Insecurity" to ensure that your gift is used in support of the Food Pantry. All gifts will be used to purchase food, personal care items, and other supplies needed by our campus community. Follow the IC Pantry on social media! Instagram: thepantryIC and Twitter: ICfoodpantry
