Verizon has resolved the issue that was preventing Verizon Wireless cell phone users from calling numbers in the Ithaca College phone system.

According to Verizon, there was a problem with the circuit they use to connect to some Ithaca, New York, numbers, including those at Ithaca College. That circuit has been fixed.

We are very disappointed that Verizon took so long to identify and resolve this problem, despite many hours of diligent work by the college’s IT team with their technical staff. We sincerely apologize to the members of our campus community and all callers who were affected, especially at such a critical time with the start of the new academic year.

As always, please feel free to contact our IT service desk at 607-274-1000 or via email at servicedesk@ithaca.edu should you encounter any problems with the technology on campus.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
