The Ithaca Police Department has reported that a shooting took place shortly before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, outside the Green St. Parking Garage adjacent to the downtown Ithaca Commons. They report that one individual was taken to a trauma center, and the suspect or suspects in the shooting are believed to be still at large. Anyone who might have information on this incident should contact the Ithaca Police Department at 607-272-3245. The Ithaca College Office of Public Safety reminds campus community members to always be aware of their surroundings and to immediately report all unusual or suspicious persons, vehicles, and activity.
