On Friday evening, an Ithaca College student reported a suspicious individual walking near the Upper Quad residence halls. Public Safety responded and conducted a thorough interior and exterior search of the immediate and surrounding areas with the assistance of other local law enforcement agencies.

While the investigation is continuing and the Public Safety patrol presence is increased for Friday night, there is not believed to be any threat to the campus community.

The suspicious subject was described as a white, college-aged male, wearing a green plaid shirt and blue jeans.

Members of the campus community should always report suspicious persons or activities to Public Safety at 607-274-3333 or leave an anonymous voice mail message at 607-274-1060.

On-campus students can speak with their RA if they have any concerns. All students may contact the CAPS after-hours on-call counselor by dialing the CAPS main phone number (607-274-3136) and following the prompt to connect with a counselor immediately.
