Emerging Leaders Conference Presents "Sankofa: Holy Spirit, Social Justice & Black Pentecostal Prophetic Witness" by Dr. Estrelda Alexander, Saturday, 9/28 at 12:00pm in Muller Chapel.Contributed by Christopher House on 09/25/19 Christian Community Church Emerging Leaders Conference, September 27th-29th, welcomes Dr. Estrelda Alexander who will deliver the keynote address on "The Holy Spirit, Social Justice & Black Pentecostal Prophetic Witness," followed by Q&A, 12:00pm-1:30pm in Muller Chapel. Estrelda Alexander, Ph.D., is the Founder and President of William Seymour College in Maryland; she previously taught at Regent University and Wesley Theological Seminary. Dr. Alexander has authored more than thirty essays and journal articles on Pentecostal history and theology, race, gender and social justice. Her published works include Black Fire Reader: A Documentary Resource on African American Pentecostalism; Black Fire: One Hundred Years of African American Pentecostalism; Limited Liberty: The Ministry and Legacy of Four Pentecostal Women Pioneers; and The Women of Azusa Street, Dictionary of Pan-African Pentecostalism. She also co-edited two works: Phillip’s Daughters: Women in the Pentecostal Movement and Afro-Pentecostalism: Black Pentecostal and Charismatic Christianity in History and Culture. Dr. Alexander is an ordained minister in the Church of God Pentecostal Denomination (Cleveland, TN).
