Register for RLS 27700 Sustainable Tourism this Fall semester Block II and travel to Costa Rica in January 2020 to experience sustainable ecotourism in the tropics!

RLS 27700 Sustainable Tourism (3 cr.)

FA19 Block II - M 3-4:15 p.m.

Travel to Costa Rica: January 3-12, 2020 (trip is part of the 3-credit course)

·      Stay in ecolodges in Alajuela, Altamira, Monteverde, Osa Peninsula and Puntarenas

·      Learn about sustainable ecotourism practices and tropical plants and animals

·      Hike through primary and secondary rainforests, kayak in a mangrove forest, tour a chocolate factory, traverse the cloud forest canopy on sky walk hanging bridges, among other exciting eco-activities

·      All activities led by certified Costa Rican guides trained in wildlife biology
