Christine Schutt is the author of three short story collections (Nightwork; A Day, a Night, Another Day, Summer; and Pure Hollywood) and three novels (Florida; All Souls; and Prosperous Friends).

The Department of Writing presents Distinguished Visiting Writer Christine Schutt in a public reading on Thursday, September 26, 2019, 6pm in Clark Lounge. Christine Schutt is the author of three short story collections (Nightwork; A Day, a Night, Another Day, Summer; and Pure Hollywood) and three novels (Florida; All Souls; and Prosperous Friends). She has been a finalist for both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize and has twice won the O. Henry Short Story Prize. The recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, Schutt lives in New York City and is a frequent adjunct at Columbia University.
