FLEFF 2020 Blogging Internship Applications Now Open!Contributed by Patricia Zimmermann on 10/27/19 The 22nd Annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF) blogging internships are now open for applications from Ithaca College students. The deadline is November 1, 2019 at midnight. This year’s festival theme is INFILTRATIONS. Eligibility: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing, with one full year of Ithaca College coursework. Students who have taken the FLEFF Festivals course receive special consideration for seats in the internship seminar. Who Can Apply: This internship is open to any student who is a sophomore from ANY OF THE FIVE SCHOOLS ON CAMPUS. We are looking to build a diverse pool of interns with different interests and skills to reflect the multicultural, international, and interdisciplinary foci of FLEFF. Course Credit: Accepted interns must enroll in a special honors seminar, Film Festival Blogging Practicum: FLEFF 2020, a three-credit honors seminar that meets on Tuesday nights. Students are accepted from all majors and programs—this course is open to all beyond Honors, if accepted into the internship. How to Apply: First, read the description on the FLEFF website about the internship and also read about FLEFF so you know its history and what it does www.ithaca.edu/fleff Second, write no more than a one-page letter (300 words maximum) explaining your major, GPA, your academic and intellectual interests, why you are interested in participating in FLEFF 2020 as a blogging intern, and what particular aspects of FLEFF interest you (review the FLEFF website before writing your application). Also note if you have taken the FLEFF Festivals course or the Honors Seminar in Participatory Cultures or The Environment and The Media.
