Ithaca College

Ithaca College will hold a shelter-in-place drill for the Office of Career Services in Muller Faculty on the morning of Tuesday, October 15th. Career Services will be completely closed to the public from 8:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on that date. Any incoming phone calls during that time will be forwarded to voicemail.

Only the Office of Career Services will be involved in the drill. The rest of the campus will be unaffected.

The Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management is working with offices across campus to develop individualized emergency response plans, and the drill will provide an opportunity for those who work in Career Services to practice responding to an active-shooter type situation. The drill will not include any simulated attack, but rather will commence and conclude with an announcement to employees who work in the office.

Signage will be placed at the chapel entrances in advance of and during the drill, and Public Safety will be stationed in the area. Members of the campus community not participating do not need to take any action.
