Dept of Exercise Science & Athletic Training graduate program alumnus Zachary McCarver ‘18 wins Master’s Thesis Award at 2019 AASP conference

 Zachary McCarver ’18 won the Master’s Thesis Award at the 2019 Association for Applied Sport Psychology conference, for his thesis titled: "Exploring Domain-Specific Perfectionism: Do Excelling Student-Athletes Differ in Perfectionism compared to their Teammates?"

Zachary completed his thesis under the guidance of ESS faculty members: Sebastian Harenberg, Assistant Professor and chair of the thesis committee; and Justine Vosloo, Associate Professor.

 

Zachary is the first graduate of the ESS graduate program to win the Thesis Award at the AASP conference. He is currently a second year doctoral student at the University of Northern Colorado, where he is continuing his Sport Psychology studies.
