Count us in 2020 Census

Contributed by Elena Chang on 10/31/19

Join Asian American Alliance to talk about the census on November 4th, 7-8 pm, in Friends 207!

There's power in being counted! Every 10 years the census is used to determine the funding for government programs, draw district lines, and determine the number of representatives each state will get in the House. 1/5 Asian Americans and 1/3 NHPIs live in hard-to-count areas. Join us for a discussion on the importance of understanding the Census, deconstruction misconceptions about it, and specific barriers that the AA community faces.

If you can't make the meeting, make sure to check out https://www.countusin2020.org/ for more information!

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact aaa@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
