 Associate Professor and Chair of English, Chris Holmes, published an article on the novels of Kazuo Ishiguro in the journal NOVEL: A Forum of Fiction. The article titled "Ishiguro at the Limit: The Novel and the Corporation," appears in the November issue of NOVEL. Through an examination of two key novels from Ishiguro's canon, Never Let Me Go and Remains of the Day, the article suggests that the contemporary novel confronts the manner of late capital thinking that has given birth to the corporate person, the ultimate stage of the privatization of public life, with its own manifestation of the common thinking mind.
