The Ithacan was honored with the prestigious Online Pacemaker Award for 2019 at the Fall National College Media Convention in Washington, D.C. on Nov. 2. The Pacemakers are the highest honors awarded by the Associated College Press and are widely regarded as “the Pulitzer Prize of collegiate journalism.” The paper’s website was also awarded second place in the convention’s on-site Best of Show competition. The Associated Collegiate Press is the oldest and largest membership organization for college journalists in the country.
