The Ithaca College/ Longview Partnership Faculty & Staff Lecture SeriesContributed by Zackary Griswold on 12/10/19 Looking for volunteers for one-time events in 2020. Ithaca College has had a very successful partnership with Longview, a retirement community located on Danby Road, for two decades. Part of this relationship involves an ongoing monthly Faculty & Staff Lecture Series at Longview. We are looking for interested staff and/or faculty for 2020. Presentations are held in the Longview auditorium, typically at 7PM for an evening program. They are informal and can be on a wide range of topics, including academics, the arts, current events…If you find it interesting, likely others will too! Past topics and presentations have included: LGBTQ History; Climate Change from a Physics perspective, Wonderful Wheelchairs Program Information, and Chasing away the Winter Blues: A recreation therapist’s suggestions! January Dates Available: 22nd or 29th at 7PM. Future dates will be posted later this month…but please feel free to reach out if you are interested in this opportunity for a specific month! This is a great opportunity to share your passion and expertise on a topic with a very appreciative audience! Contact Jessica Valdez Taves, the IC/LV Partnership Coordinator if you are interested.
