An investigation has determined that the robbery reported Thursday afternoon at the Terrace 3 residence hall appears to be a targeted crime and not a random incident, and there is not believed to be an ongoing threat to the campus community.

Residents of a room reported that two suspects displayed a taser device and a folding knife and robbed them of personal property, then fled the area in the direction of the Circle Apartments. Public Safety responded and conducted a thorough search of the area.

One suspect is described as a black male, 5’10” to 5’11,” early 20s, wearing green Uggs and black or gray jeans, with a tattoo of a cross on the right arm.

The updated description of the second black male suspect is that he was wearing a red hoodie and red sweatpants, and a black beanie.

No one was injured in the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call Public Safety at 607-274-3333.

How is this not an ongoing threat if the perpetrators haven’t been caught?
