Submitted on behalf of Kevin Perry, Associate Director of New Student & Transition Programs The Office of New Student & Transition Programs is thrilled to share the official 2019 Fall Orientation Assessment Report and would like to, again, thank all of our wonderful campus partners for bringing this program to life! This program would not have been possible without all of your hard work and collaboration, and it does not go unnoticed. Some highlights from the report include outstanding attendance at many of the various evening social events, over 85% of students expressed that orientation increased their knowledge of campus culture and traditions, and over 80% of students expressed that orientation allowed them to engage in meaningful interactions with other new students. Similarly, the all of the academic schools affectively transformed the course registration process and were successful in getting the majority of students registered for courses before arriving to campus in August. Please see the full report for the complete assessment and to learn about ways in which we see this program improving for future years. The full report can be found at: https://www.ithaca.edu/orientation/assessment. If you have any questions or concerns about the data presented here, please email nstp@ithaca.edu
