Seats are still available for “Modern Latin America,” HIST 234, which meets TTh @ 8am.. The course covers the history of Latin America from the late colonial period through the recent election of Jair Bolsonaro. Major topics include the relationship of Latin America to Europe and the United States and the relationship of notions of race, class and gender to politics and economics.
