Dr. Maria DiFrancesco is the new director of the Exploratory ProgramContributed by Rachel Gould on 01/22/20 Contributed on behalf of Tanya Saunders, Assistant Provost Dr. Maria DiFrancesco is the new director of the Exploratory Program as of this Spring 2020 semester. Dr. DiFrancesco is Professor of Spanish in the School of Humanities and Sciences and a prolific scholar. Most recently Chair of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, Dr. DiFrancesco brings to the Exploratory Program an understanding of the first-generation experience, a commitment to liberal arts education at Ithaca College, and an enthusiasm for teaching and advising in support of student achievement. Dr. DiFrancesco has taught ‘Exploring the Options’ and long been an advocate for the Exploratory Program. As I thank Dr. Elizabeth Bleicher for her outstanding performance in laying the foundation for the college-wide Exploratory Program, I look forward to working with Dr. DiFrancesco to build on that foundation in support of the College’s new strategic plan. Please congratulate Dr. Maria DiFrancesco on her new role. |
