Janet Galván, Professor of Music, conducted the inaugural concert of the Treble Choir at the Massachusetts Senior High School High School Music Festival on January 11, 2020.

This is one of her many career firsts, including conducting the first Eastern Division Women’s Honor Choir for the National Association for Music Education, conducting the first Eastern Division Women’s Honor Choir for the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), conducting the first Women’s Honor Choir for the Connecticut Eastern Region Music Educators, conducting the first New Jersey Middle School Honor Choir for the New Jersey Music Educators, and conducting the first State Women’s Honor Choir for the Kansas ACDA,  among others.
