Three School of Music students were chosen as winners of the 2020 Concerto Competition on Sunday, January 26, 2020. They will be featured on the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra concert, March 29, 2020, 4:00 p.m. in Ford Hall.
Alexei Aceto, Harris Andersen, and Brian Breen competed with nineteen outstanding finalists chosen from preliminary competitions.
Aceto and Andersen, both pianists, are students of piano faculty member Charis Dimaras. Breen, a percussionist, studies with percussion faculty member Michael Truesdell and will be playing marimba. They will be performing works by Frédéric Chopin, Sergei Rachmaninov, and Sergei Golovko. |
