Faculty Trustee to Board of Trustees: Nomination InvitedContributed by Chris McNamara on 01/30/20 Faculty Council is soliciting nominations, including self-nominations for the four-year term as Faculty Trustee to the Ithaca College Board of Trustees. At the end of this academic year (May 31), Julie Dorsey’s term as Faculty Trustee on the Ithaca College Board of Trustees comes to an end. Faculty Council is therefore soliciting nominations, including self-nominations for the four-year term as Faculty Trustee to the Ithaca College Board of Trustees. The Faculty Trustee is a fully participating and voting member of the Board of Trustees with all of the attendant rights and responsibilities. As is its policy, the Board has invited the faculty to present three candidates for them to consider as they appoint a successor. This is a crucial position and we are seeking actively engaged, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable individuals for a pool of candidates. Faculty Council will select three individuals from this pool to be forwarded to the Board for their decision regarding the one position. At its Spring 2020 meeting the Board will elect the next Faculty Trustee, whose four-year term will begin on June 1, 2020. Please submit the candidate’s name, a brief statement of support (or a statement of interest in the case of a self-nomination), and CV to Chris McNamara, FC Chair @ cmcnamara@ithaca.edu. The deadline for submission of names and materials is: March 11, 2020. Please feel free to call (274-1372) or email me (cmcnamara@ithaca.edu ) if you have questions.
