Not your usual RA position….. Resident Assistants for Ithaca College’s summer precollege programs – Summer College for High School Students, Precollege STEM Institute, and the Summer Theatre Intensive - work and live at Ithaca College from June 22 - July 25, 2020. A team of six (6) to eight (8) precollege RAs live in the residence halls with high school students enrolled at IC for residential summer bridge programs designed to give students a sense of college life and strategies for success in a college classroom. RAs are involved with welcoming students to campus, designing and executing social and educational programs and activities, and enforcing policies and procedures to support the safety and well-being of Summer College students. IC’s summer precollege programs bring a diverse population of high school students to Ithaca from all over the country. Over 40% of summer precollege students are scholars from under-resourced communities and schools. Pay is hourly starting at $12.10/hour up to $12.70/hour for students with prior RA experience. A full meal-plan is included. Hours vary depending on RA-developed programming and the RA team schedule, and will sometimes include nights (when you’re on duty) and weekends while the program is in session. Required Qualifications RAs must be continuing Ithaca College undergraduate students, returning to IC in fall 2020. Prior IC RA experience is preferred but not required.
