When: Thursday, February 13, 12:10pm-1:10pm Are you seeking a peer group to support your continued growth in course design? scholarship? teaching? promotion? other areas? The CFE offers funding to support the formation and meetings of small groups of faculty for mutual mentoring. If your department or school offers traditional mentoring, we encourage you to take advantage of it while you explore mutual mentoring. The Center for Faculty Excellence supports a mutual mentoring model, which encourages the development of a variety of mentoring partnerships to address specific areas of need or competency. Research strongly indicates that mutual mentoring is particularly effective for women in academia and faculty of color, and can make a vital contribution to a successful academic career. Mutual mentoring is faculty-driven, functional, and flexible through its focus on: Please come and suggest your collaborative ideas and needs. Here are a few examples: Please join us for a light lunch to learn more about the program, hear from faculty who have benefited from our mutual mentoring program, and to have the opportunity to express your interests in a mutual mentoring process.
