Join the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures for their first Brown Bag Lunch on Thursday, February 13, in Business 301 during the noon hour.

Rachel Paparone (Assistant Professor of French) will talk about her current research on the pastoral in Early Modern travel narratives. How did the first French explorers in North America interpret the landscapes and the people that they encountered? And how can reframing these narratives in terms of the pastoral help us to better understand contemporary attitudes toward nature and the environment?

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Tina Bennett at tbennett@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3106. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
