Ithaca College Closed Friday, February 7

Contributed by News on 02/06/20

Because of the severe weather conditions expected to last throughout the day, Ithaca College is closed as of 7 a.m., Friday, February 7.

All classes for the day are canceled and offices are closed. Essential services provided by the dining halls, health center, facilities, residential life, campus center, and public safety will be provided but may have some limited capacities. Essential personnel are requested to report to work at their normal times.

The Terrace Dining Hall and Campus Center Dining Hall will be open regular hours. The Campus Center Food Court will also be open regular hours. All other campus retail units will be closed. Note that some services in all units may be limited.

All regular appointments at the health center are canceled. The health center will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Students with urgent needs should call to speak with a nurse after 1 p.m. for appointments or guidance.

The college’s highest priority remains the safety of the members of our campus community, and officials will continue to monitor weather conditions to determine if any additional updates to the operating status may be necessary. Wind chills are expected to be severe later in the day so plan to dress accordingly.

More information on emergency closing policies can be found in the Ithaca College Policy Manual, and information on the college’s Inclement Weather Policy can be found here.
