From February 17th to February 21st the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life is participating Better Together Days

Better Together Days is a national program of the Interfaith Youth Core that brings colleges and universities together for a week of Interfaith collaboration and dialogue. The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (ORSL) has put together a series of conversations to engage the campus community on interfaith collaboration and dialogue. Whether you identify as religious, non-religious or somewhere else on the spectrum we hope there is something for you!

As part of this week, ORSL, the Center for IDEAS and Hillel at IC is hosting Yavilah McCoy, the CEO of DIMENSIONS Inc, who has spent the past 20 years working extensively to engage issues of diversity, equity and inclusion as a Jewish woman of color, educator, and anti-racism activist.

Thursday, February 20, 2020
12:10pm – 1:00pm | Muller Chapel

Often times when engaging in interfaith work, students who identify as spiritual and not religious, atheist, or secular don’t see themselves in the conversation. Join us during the common hour to talk about how interfaith collaboration includes atheist, secular, and non-religious individual. Conversation facilitated by Ben Kibby, Interfaith Program Assistant.

Curious about interfaith leaders who identify as atheist? Check out this short clip of Chris Stedman interfaith leader and former Humanist Chaplain at Harvard University.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Office of Religious and Spiritual Life at spirituallife@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
