James Miranda (Writing) publishes essay in a new anthology exploring American coexistence.

James's personal essay, "Occupants," which originally appeared in Gulf Coast: A Journal of Literature and Fine Arts, was recently published in the collection, Welcome to the Neighborhood: An Anthology of American Coexistence, published in January by Ohio University/Swallow Press.

The anthology features fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and graphic novel excerpts about borders, boundaries, and cross-cultural dialogue in the contemporary age. Contributors to the anthology include current and former U.S. Poet Laureates Joy Harjo, Rita Dove, and Robert Pinsky (and many others).
