EMERGENCY NEED! Unused guest swipes needed to help combat food insecurityContributed by Austin Reid on 03/17/20 As the situation surrounding the novel coronavirus Covid-19 and it's impact continues to evolve there are students who have been permitted to remain on campus or in Ithaca under exceptional circumstances. These students may be experiencing an urgent need for accessible food options, and Swipe Out Hunger meal passes can help offset their need to spend their limited funds on food, allowing them to re-allocate their resources for other needs during this unprecedented time. Across the country, 1 in 5 students regularly skip meals, having to prioritize other costs associated with college. This time, more than ever, we NEED your generosity.
Donate your unused guest meal passes here!
To combat food insecurity on our campus students can donate 2 of their guest meal passes per semester by filling out this form. Students who are in need of meals can contact Student Financial Services at sfs@ithaca.edy to be able to receive packages of 15 meals put onto your card. Students can use this resource more than once- and request packages of 15 repeatedly, as needed! You do NOT need to be on a meal plan to receive extra meals!
