The IC Mentorship Initiative is a new student org for IC Students to mentor South Hill Elementary students and New Roots Charter High School students!

The IC Mentorship Initiative is an up and coming student organization that seeks to provide mentorship to both elementary and high school students. Formed through the joint union of  the South Hill Mentorship program at South Hill Elementary School and Project Embolden at the New Roots Charter High School, the organization is currently seeking to fill several executive positions including that of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Officer. 

The President will preside at all meetings of IC Mentorship Initiative and decide on a date/time that works best for all, if not, the majority. In addition, the President will enforce provisions of the Constitution and appoint committees as required. The President will also serve as an ex officio member of all committees. This position is a paid position funded by the Center for Civic Engagement. 

The Vice President shall assist the President in the discharge of the president’s duties and shall attend all IC Mentorship Initiative meetings. In case of the absence or incapacity of the President, the President’s duties shall be performed by the Vice President. 

The Secretary shall keep a correct record of all proceedings and also conduct any general correspondence made to IC Mentorship Initiative. They are also responsible for bringing to attention any correspondence upon which the membership must take action. 

The Treasurer shall be responsible for all transactions and records pertaining to the finances and IC Mentorship Initiative supplies. The Treasurer shall also keep record of active membership and elected officers of IC Mentorships’s eboard.
