When life surprises us with challenges like those we’re encountering around COVID-19, we might struggle to feel connected: to ourselves, to each other, to a sense of routine or stability. In times like these, having some tools to help us manage the discomfort or maybe even the grief that comes from uncertainty and the changing of plans is valuable. We invite you to join artist mads deshazo on Tuesday, March 24th at 7:00 PM Eastern Standard Time for a 90 minute virtual session. During this time, we will engage in the Jewish Studio Process to create art using materials that you find in your home. We will also discover wisdom from old texts and modern sources as we come together to take care of ourselves and each other during this time of global response to illness. You do not have to identify as an artist or scholar to join us -- all are welcome, especially people who are new to art-making! Registration is required for this workshop. Please register here! |
