Dr. Shaianne Osterreich is Associate Professor and Chair in the Economics Department. Her teaching and research focus on globalization and poverty with a regional specialty in Indonesia and South East Asia. Her work is concerned with how global capitalism affects and reflects intersectional economic inequalities across and within nation states, households, and job markets.

David T. Meberg is President and Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Carpet, a third generation, family business, established in 1943. Under his leadership, Consolidated Carpet has grown to become one of the largest full-service flooring contractors in the commercial construction industry. Its five offices service the major northeast and mid-west markets, along with commercial facilities throughout the country, and select clientele worldwide. He is co-chairman of the International Standards and Training Alliance (INSTALL), and a past Chairman of the Floor Covering Installation Contractors Association, the national trade association serving the interests of floor covering contractors.

Raza Ahmad Rumi is a Pakistani policy analyst, journalist, author and the Director of the Park Center for Independent Media. He teaches in the journalism department. He is a member of the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics think tank, Georgetown University. Previously, Raza worked at the Asian Development Bank as a Governance Specialist and also worked on designing and implementing projects for UNICEF and the World Bank, among many others. In Pakistan, his journalism brought him under the surveillance of Islamists and their patrons in Pakistan. In March 2014, a militia linked to the Taliban attacked him. Although he narrowly survived the assassination attempt, his driver died.
