Abby Hauptman and Desiree Tolchin's script, "Friday Film Five" was selected as one of five finalist films that were funded and produced for the Coca-Cola Refreshing Films competition.

PREMIERE & WATCH PARTY

Going to the movies is a timeless tradition. "Friday Film Five" is about one girl's inspiration to use her love of the movies to make new connections with friends. Abby and Desiree produced their script with the help of over 50 Ithaca College students and the student-run production house, Park Productions.

The Coca-Cola Refreshing Films program is a platform to support students, showcase their work and launch their careers. Five student scripts were selected and received $15,000 each to create and produce a 35-second film. In addition to funding, finalists are flown to a training session and program kickoff event in LA where they learn some of the greatest tricks of the trade. During production each finalist will also have access to a shoot location while the technical partners RED and ZEISS provide access to cameras and lenses. During post production, they are given access to Deluxe’s EFILM to master their spots with some of the industry’s top colorists. The filmmakers are mentored throughout the program experience.

Finalists are from Biola University, Columbia College Chicago, Ithaca College, Savannah College of Art and Design, and School of Visual Arts.
