As communities across the nation—and even around the world—confront the issues of systemic racism and violence against Black lives by those in positions of power and authority, Ithaca College will continue to provide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to come together to learn, reflect, and activate for justice. One such opportunity was held for students on June 4, and we were tremendously pleased by the turnout and ensuing difficult though enlightening conversation. You can participate in this gathering via Zoom by registering at: A Time of Reflection and Action. As an educational institution, we are obligated to use the empowering force of learning, dialogue, and critical examination to create a campus environment where respect for all people is truly our community’s standard. We will continue to engage your ideas, your energy, and your expertise as we strive together to establish such an environment. In solidarity, Rosanna Ferro La Jerne Terry Cornish Hayley Harris |
