A Message From Marvin and Denise: We are sincerely thankful and grateful for all of the many condolences and kind gestures as we mourn the loss of our beloved ‘Pop’ and ‘Daddy\'. He was special to many but most of all he was the best Father we could have ever hoped for. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet any of his beloved Ithaca College family. Please accept our gratitude and sincere thanks for embracing our Father as one of your own. A special thanks to Julie in HR for all your help and coworker Cheryl for always showing concern. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Art’s memory may be made to the Ithaca College Scholarship Fund, 953 Danby Road, Ithaca, NY 14850. Sad news for the Ithaca College Community Comment from

Art was a master of all opinions, and they were usually funny. He never hurried to do anything, and that was a lesson I tried (and failed) to follow. How he could see out of those Coke bottle glasses, I\'ll never know. I smile when I think of him. He will be missed by many for many years to come.

I had so many wonderful conversations with Art. Art loved
talking about his family and how wonderful his grandchildren are. He truly was an icon at Ithaca College. He\'ll be missed. Sad news for the Ithaca College Community Comment from

This is indeed sad news. Art was one of the first people I got to know at Ithaca College when I started here over 12 years ago. We spoke almost every day. My duties through the years changed, and I didn't see him nearly as often these past few years, but I always made a point for a quick chat whenever I ran into him on his mail run across campus. He will be missed.

I was so saddened to learn of the passing of Art. I knew from
the moment I met Art that he was a very special person. Being a veteran myself, I am so proud to have known him, to learn more of his distinguished military career and his years as a very dedicated Ithaca College employee! Everyone in the building knew what time frame his was on each floor (down to the second) to pick up mail and would often run down to catch him. He was always timely, kind, funny, and very neat about his appearance. He loved his children and grandchildren. Please consider giving to the Ithaca College Scholarship Fund listed in his Obituary. He made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of his country and very honorably! He is our hero! RIP Art |
