The Center for Faculty Excellence is pleased to host Ithaca College Community Artists each Friday at 5pm. In a mere 15-20 minutes, learn what our community brings to the Arts, and the invariable ways Art invigorates our lives! This month, we focus on "Over the Moon". Guest artists include: July 17: Rose Howard (bio below) July 24: Daniel Gwirtzman, Dancer/choreographer July 31: Mike Truesdell, Percussionist Rose Howard works in the Theatre Department, and has a BFA in Theatrical Design from Ithaca College ’04. Highlights from her work experience in NYC include working for Propstar on the Broadway shows South Pacific, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Sunday in the Park with George, American Buffalo, and Cyrano de Bergerac. She has built and designed the set, lighting and costume design for various off-broadway and black box theatres in New York and Seattle including SecondStory Rep, The Ohio Theatre, The Kitchen Theatre, The Hangar Theatre, and The Zipper. She's also worked at The Vineyard Theatre, PS122, the Signature Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, the New School for Drama and The Actors Studio. She works part time as the Operations Manager of The Cherry Arts downtown. Her passions include all forms of artistic expression, masks, puppetry, and hand crafted things. |
