It is with a sad heart that I need to share the news that Pete Zabawsky, who retired from IC in 2013 after working for IT for 31 years as a database and application administrator, passed away this past Sunday. His passing was not due to the COVID virus. He was 67. Pete was instrumental in building many of our original administrative systems. He saw the college go from punch-cards to flash drives. His skills helped support many versions of our student, payroll, HR and financial systems over the years. He helped build the foundation for many of our services and systems, and was a strong positive presence in our department and across campus. Calling hours for Pete will be this Saturday in Trumansburg. Click here for details and more information about Pete. The family asks those who would like to make a donation in Peter's memory to kindly consider the Trumansburg Golf Course, 23 Halsey Street, Trumansburg, NY 14886, where they hope to place a bench in Pete's memory. Our thoughts and prayers are with Pete and his family. |
