First year students are invited to join Spectrum IC in a virtual hangout where we will discuss being queer on campus, the year ahead, and Spectrum as a club!

Welcome, incoming first-year students! This event on August 18th, 8-9:30pm, will serve as a brief introduction to what you might be able to expect as LGBTQ+ students at Ithaca College, as well as to Spectrum as a club. Members of the executive board will take some time to introduce ourselves to you all, share some of our experiences as queer and trans students at IC, and talk about the (rather unprecedented) semester ahead. We want this to be a time for you to get a feel for the campus community (as much as is possible via Zoom) and ask any questions that you may have.

This will be a low-pressure environment where we encourage individuals to do whatever is most comfortable for them, particularly when it comes to participation. You can attend the full hour. You can pop in just to see our faces and introduce yourself. You can be vocal, sharing any wants/ needs/ questions you may have. Or, you can simply listen quietly, muting your microphone and video feed if that makes you feel better. It is completely up to you! The Zoom link can be found below.

If you cannot make it to this event but are still interested in the information or have questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at spectrumithaca@gmail.com. Also, if you are an individual with disabilities who requires accommodations, please also reach out to us. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
