Join us this Thursday, August 20th from 7:00 PM-8:00 PM for an information session on a new series we are offering online called:  “Reflections on the Life of the Spirit,” in partnership between the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and the Ithaca Baha’i Community.

This is first in a sequence from the Ruhi Institute that is being studied around the world by people from every country, culture and religious background. Participants will study and discuss selections from the Baha’i Writings in a casual and lively “Study Circle” guided by two local members of the Baha’i community. Together with the tutor participants will reflect on how to apply these insights to their own lives.

The courses help participants deepen their knowledge, strengthen spiritual qualities and attitudes, and develop habits that enable them to participate in activities that build stronger communities which reflect the deep compassion, honesty, justice, and love that Baha’is believe God desires for the entire human family.

The Study Circle will be offered weekly on Wednesdays from 7-8:15 pm, August 26th through December 8th. A PDF version of the required text can be found for free at this site, or you can buy a paper copy for $3 (+ shipping) from Palabra Publications.

* While the Ruhi Institute courses are offered by the Baha’i Community, and are based on the teachings of Baha’u’llah, there is no expectation that people will join the Baha’i Faith. In fact, the Baha’i teachings clearly forbid proselytizing. That said, the course is a great way to learn about the teachings of the Baha’i Faith, as well as to reflect on one’s own spiritual practices and perspectives.
