The Center for Faculty Excellence is pleased to host Ithaca College Community Artists each Friday at 5pm. In a mere 15-20 minutes, learn what our community brings to the Arts, and the invariable ways Art invigorates our lives. This week’s guest is Mehreen (Lali) Khalid.

Lali Khalid holds a B.F.A. in printmaking from the National College of Arts in Lahore (2003) and an M.F.A. in Photography from Pratt Institute (2009) where she was a Fulbright Scholar. Khalid was born in Pakistan and immigrated to U.S. in 2011. She uses her work as a tool to explore themes of diaspora, identity, family, and home in her own life and the lives of people she photographs. Professor Khalid joined the faculty at Ithaca College in 2018 and is an Assistant Professor in the Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies Department.
