This session presents to the LGBTQ+ communities of North Country, Mohawk Valley, Southern Tier, and Central NY an overview of the New York State’s Human Rights Law and discusses the passage of the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA). Attendees will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the law and become more familiar with the state Division of Human Rights and the complaint process. IC's LGBT Center is pleased to partner with the state Division of Human Rights and with LGBTQ+ serving organizations throughout our region for a session to inform the LGBTQ+ community, in particular transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary individuals, of their rights under the Human Rights Law. The event will take place via Zoom on Oct 22 at 6 pm.
