WXXI (Rochester) to Broadcast Students’ Film about Immigrant RightsContributed by Mickie Quinn on 10/06/20 Home Is Here debut Home is Here explores the life of Dolores, an undocumented farmworker in Upstate New York, as she talks about her experiences, the struggles she’s dealt with, and the work she is doing to help others in situations similar to hers. The film was made by Ithaca College Documentary Studies and Production major Julien Sobel ’22 in the class “Nonfiction Production” led by Professor John D. Scott along with Ithaca College students Benjamin DiNoia, Riley Brunner, and Sean Miller. After more than nine months of work, the film makes its television debut on public media on Rochester's WXXI-WORLD. |
