Seniors: How much do you know about workplace discrimination?Contributed by Cheryl Rotyliano on 11/09/20 In this three-part series, Cheryl Rotyliano (Career Services) and Emily Rockett (IC Assistant Counsel) are partnering to help students advocate for themselves in the workplace. Knowledge is Power: Your Legal Rights While Working Thursday, November 12th 12-1 pm Students will be given an overview of state and federal protections pertaining to employees in the workforce. This will include things like paid leave programs for life circumstances, dress codes, wages, discrimination protections, the right to concerted activity, etc. Students will also be provided with resources to help them locate the appropriate governing bodies to report claims of mistreatment or discrimination if they experience it.
