In conjunction with our weekly COVID-19 testing, Ithaca College will be offering the flu vaccine for Ithaca College students on campus and in the Ithaca area, on the testing dates of Tuesday, October 13th and Wednesday, October 14th. Please note that the flu vaccine will be available throughout the testing days or until supplies are exhausted. Students who are registered for COVID-19 testing on these dates can choose to participate in the flu clinic upon arrival at the A&E Center. If participating, the flu vaccine will be administered after the COVID-19 test, in another area of the A&E Center. Students who would like to participate are encouraged to follow two important steps:
Students who cannot attend on these dates can make an appointment with the Hammond Health Center for a flu vaccine by calling 607-274-3177. We are strongly encouraging that all students receive a flu shot this year. Please keep in mind that even healthy people can get the flu, and it can be serious. The flu shot is even more important this year as we will also be fighting against COVID-19 in our community. While getting a flu vaccine will not protect against COVID-19, there are many important benefits, such as:
