Lori June, Business Coordinator in HSHP to Retire October 20Contributed by Linda Petrosino on 10/15/20 The faculty and staff in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance are pleased to recognize the 32 years of contributions to IC that Lori June, HSHP Budget Coordinator, has provided. Lori has announced her retirement that is effective October 20 and her talents and incredible attention to detail will be missed. Lori started at Ithaca College in 1988 as the Secretary/Department Assistant in the Dean’s Office for the School of Allied Health Professions with Dean William Scoones and Assistant Dean Ann Miller. Later she was promoted to Administrative Assistant for Associate Dean David Dresser until his retirement in 2003. When the School merged and was reconfigured in 2003, Lori was promoted to the position of Business Coordinator in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance Dean’s Office, a position held for the past 17 years. In her position she has worked with all of the departments and programs in HSHP as well as multiple offices across campus. Lori received the IC Choice Award (2005) and she also participated in the 2005 IC Leadership Program. In addition to her budgetary responsibilities, Lori served as the main entrance usher for Commencement and Graduate Hooding Ceremonies for 30 consecutive years being able to congratulate students on their achievements. She supported the Wellness Clinic by organizing the annual holiday functions for 19 years. Lori was very active in the IC Toastmasters International Chapter 9817 and held the Secretary and Treasurer position. She was recognized for her leadership with the IC Toastmaster Competent Leader Award and the Toastmasters Competent Communicator Award. Lori has many friends within HSHP and across campus and I invite you to join me in extending appreciation for her over three decades of campus work and extending your congratulations.
